- Each Phase has set of activities and deliverables converge on an accurate business solution
- Review and Verification of all the deliverables through out the lifecycle
- Requirements are base lined at a high level and managed throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Testing and verification is integrated throughout the lifecycle
- Controls changes in the software during the lifecycle
